Born August 2nd 1945 in Brooklyn NY to Oscar and Charlotte Akeson, passed peacefully on October 21st, 2025.
Beloved sister to Shirley and June. Mother to Kelly (Mike), Laura (Frank), and Don (Caelan). Grandmother to Patrick, Jamie, Jenna, Nicholas, Madison, Christian, Giuliana, Fiona, and Donovan. An aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Diane will be remembered for her love of the NY Mets, Elvis, dancing to her favorite songs, and the movie It’s A Wonderful Life.

A beautiful person. She loved her children and grandchildren. An avid Mets fan. She will be remembered fondly. Rest in Peace Diane.
